Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
Bucks County Septic (“we,” “us”) runs buckscountyseptic.com. We’re a referral service: we connect homeowners with independent local septic service providers. We don’t perform septic work ourselves. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and who we share it with.
Information We Collect
When you fill out the quote form: your name, phone number, email (if given), property address or town, the service you need, how urgent it is, when the tank was last pumped, and anything you write in the message box.
When you call us: your phone number, caller ID name (if available), and the date, time and length of the call.
Automatically, when you visit the site: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, approximate location (city level) and similar usage data, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
Phone Calls
We don’t currently record calls. If we ever start recording or tracking calls, we’ll update this policy and you’ll hear a notice at the start of the call before any recording begins.
How We Use Your Information
- To pass your request to a local septic provider who can contact you and give you a quote
- To follow up on your request
- To measure how many requests and calls the site produces
- To keep the site working, secure and improving
- To comply with the law
Who We Share It With
- Independent septic providers. We share your request details with one or more independent providers who serve your area, so they can contact you. Once they have your information, their own privacy practices apply.
- Service vendors who help us run the site, such as our web host (Cloudflare), our form service (Formspree) and email providers. They may only use it to provide services to us.
- Legal reasons. If the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
- Business transfer. If the site is sold or transferred, your information may go with it, under this policy.
We don’t sell your personal information beyond sharing it with the provider(s) to fulfill your request, and we don’t share it with unrelated marketers.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and see which pages and ads lead to calls or form submissions. We may use tools such as Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. Some features may not work properly without cookies. We don’t currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
Text Messages
If you agree to be contacted by text, message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts doesn’t cancel a job you’ve already scheduled with a provider.
How Long We Keep It
We keep request and call records only as long as needed for the purposes above, for business records and to meet legal obligations, and then we delete or anonymize them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no website or transmission is completely secure.
Your Choices
- Ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it
- Opt out of calls or texts from us at any time (and ask providers directly to stop contacting you)
- Block cookies in your browser
